Precautions for the safe use of liquefied petroleum gas

liquefied petroleum gas is flammable and explosive. When mixed with air, the concentration reaches the explosion limit (1.5% - 9.5%), and strong explosion (deflagration) can occur in case of open fire. Customers should strictly abide by the safety operation procedures in the process of use to prevent malignant accidents caused by leakage

1. The steel cylinder should be placed in a place that is easy to move, ventilated and dry, and not easy to be corroded. The customer should always check whether the cylinder angle valve, rubber hose, pressure reducing valve and stove are in good condition, and apply soapy water foam on the air circuit and all joints to check whether there are air leakage, cracks, aging, loosening and other phenomena. It is strictly forbidden to use open fire to detect leakage. In high temperature season, pay special attention to the inspection of the pressure reducing valve film, leather gasket and rubber hose to prevent overpressure, air leakage and other situations

2. LPG, like other substances, also has the property of thermal expansion and cold contraction, and its expansion coefficient is about 10 times greater than that of water, so it cannot be overfilled. In summer, it is forbidden to expose the steel cylinder to the sun, and it is forbidden to bake the steel cylinder with fire and scald the steel cylinder with boiling water, so as to avoid the explosion of the steel cylinder. Liquefied gas cannot be used in the same room with coal stove and other fire sources. It is not allowed to store or use steel cylinders containing liquefied petroleum gas in bedrooms, offices, basements and bathrooms

3. The service distance between the steel cylinder and the stove and water heater shall not be less than 0.8m, and the length of the rubber hose shall not exceed 2m. All valves shall be closed when not in use

4. In the process of using gas stoves, water heaters, heaters, etc., do not leave personal supervision, and maintain indoor ventilation. It is strictly forbidden to use heaters when sleeping

5. Before using the steel cylinder, check whether there is air leakage at the connection of the cylinder body and accessories angle valve and pressure reducing valve. The method of inspection is usually to brush soap solution. If there is air leakage, bubbles will appear. During the use of steel cylinders, some defects will occur due to various reasons, resulting in the reduction of mechanical strength. If they are not found or removed in time and allowed to develop, major accidents may occur. Therefore, regular inspection of steel cylinders must be carried out. It is forbidden to use unqualified and over inspected materials to avoid the reaction of pressure; Measure the life of the steel cylinders and raw materials at the outlet of the oil pump (3) install the spherical lower pressing plate on the platen, which is severely rusted and discarded

6. Do not dump or discharge the residual liquid in the cylinder at will. In daily life, some customers inflate more for convenience and mistakenly think that the residual liquid is water. Therefore, as mentioned in Category 3, it is very dangerous to casually pour the residual liquid into the gutters, sewers and toilets. Because after the residual liquid is poured out of the bottle, its residual liquid is more volatile and diffuse than gasoline. When the gas and air mix to a certain concentration, as long as there is a tiny spark, it will cause a combustion and explosion accident. Therefore, it is forbidden to pour the residual liquid of liquefied gas randomly, and the residual liquid shall be uniformly recycled by the gas company

7. Liquefied petroleum gas cylinders are thin-walled pressure vessels, so they should be handled with care during use, and it is forbidden to fall, smash, roll or kick

8. The use of steel cylinders depends on natural evaporation. The lower part is liquid phase and the upper part is gas phase. The gas flows out of the angle valve and reduces the pressure to the service pressure through the pressure reducing valve for the use of gas appliances. If the steel cylinder is placed horizontally or upside down, it will make the liquid flow directly from the angle valve, and the pressure reducing valve will lose its pressure reducing effect, resulting in high-pressure gas supply. At this time, it is easy to cause the liquid to leak out, and the volume of the leaked liquefied petroleum gas will rapidly expand by more than 200 times. In case of open fire, explosion accidents may occur, and the consequences are unimaginable. Therefore, it is forbidden to lay or stand upside down the cylinder

9. There must be a set of strict operating procedures and safety and fire prevention measures for the pouring and filling of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders. Open fire, electrostatic sparks and qualified connecting parts are prohibited on site. A slight error is very likely to cause explosion, fire and frostbite accidents. Therefore, it is strictly prohibited to pour tanks between each other

10. We should correctly master the use methods of angle valve, pressure reducing valve and gas appliance switch. At the same time, we should always pay attention to and educate children not to play with the valve switch. Breaking the switch or forgetting to close it will cause air leakage, resulting in fire or other accidents. Before each use, it must be confirmed that the switch of the gas appliance is above the off position for ventilation and ignition. After using gas, remember to close the cylinder angle valve to prevent air leakage. Do not use excessive force when closing to prevent accidents from happening to the angle valve. It is strictly forbidden for customers to disassemble and repair the angle valve and pressure reducing valve without permission

11. The gas cylinder angle valve and pressure reducing valve should make the current strategic focus of the company continue to expand and strengthen the qualified products for the main business of spandex. Special oil-resistant high-pressure rubber hose with a length of 1.5 ~ 2 meters should be used. It should not cross the wall and the room, and it should be checked regularly. If aging or damage is found, it should be replaced in time. Clamps shall be used to fasten the two ends of the rubber hose with the gas appliance and the pressure reducing valve, and leakage is strictly prohibited

12. When using liquefied petroleum gas, open the kitchen window to make the kitchen well ventilated. In case of LPG leakage, turn off the main switch of gas source quickly; Extinguish all fires, open the windows at the same time, and speed up the air circulation. You can use brooms and other tools that will not produce sparks to sweep back and forth to speed up the air circulation, accelerate the emission of LPG, reduce the concentration of LPG, and let the LPG be distributed outdoors. Go outdoors for emergency repair, and inform the gas supply unit to send personnel for maintenance quickly

13. In case of LPG leakage from neighbors, knock on the door and inform them not to use the doorbell and (to prevent gas explosion caused by electric sparks)

if the liquefied gas tank is on fire, try your best to close the angle valve. If the flame of the valve is large, you can use wet towels, rags and other strong blows to the root of the flame, put out the fire, and then close the valve tightly. If the angle valve fails, the fire can be extinguished, and the liquefied gas tank can be quickly moved to an outdoor open place to vent the remaining gas or handed over to the liquefied gas company for disposal
